AMERICAN IRON 2004 MINNEAPOLIS AQUATENNIAL
METAL SCULPTURE CONTEST
American Iron held its fourth annual metal sculpture competition and public art display as part of the company's sponsorship of the Minneapolis Aquatennial. The event is held to encourage local artists and to promote recycling. All entered sculptures
were displayed to the public at the American Iron Minneapolis Aquatennial
open-air gallery on the Nicollet Mall in front of the IDS Crystal Court July 20 and 21, 2004. Many of the works of art were available for sale.
Artwork was judged on originality, artistic merit, and creative reuse of recyclable materials. New this year was a "People's Choice" award as determined by public voting. View contest entries from past years: 2001 2002 2003 2004
