Scale Truck
Ever wonder how much your metal scrap load weighed before it left your site? Our computerized onboard lugger scale can show you your weight to within 200 lbs. We’ll issue you a weight receipt – right on the spot. Your final settlement will be based upon the actual weight as measured on a State Certified scale at one of American Iron’s plants.
Certified Scales
Our computerized scales are officially certified by State inspectors to be accurate with a plus/minus margin of 20 pounds. That’s an error of only one-tenth of 1% on a 10 ton load.
Independent Verification
American Iron is so confident of the accuracy of our scales that we will honor any request for third-party verification of weights.
Consignment Tracking
Our computerized consignment system creates a complete record of every transaction you make. This allows you to efficiently monitor your own scrap generation and document specific shipments. American Iron only makes payment by check, and can issue a record of all your financial settlements.
